College education should be free for all Korean citizens in Korea.

College in Korea should be free for all Korean citizens.
Korea is not a poor country. However, there are still a lot of students who really want to keep studying but simply cannot afford to it. Education background is an important skill when looking for a job especially in Korea. Education developed our country after Korean War. We should take a lesson from the past. 5 arguments I can present:

1. Students will make our future. Educated human resources will give us better life. There are still many students who cannot afford to go to a college. Among them there might be brilliant students who can actually change or develop our country.
2. Korea does not have natural resources than other countries. We cannot rely on other kinds of things but human resources.
3. College’s goal is to make them role well as individuals in a society, so the money should come from the society.
4. World is changing. 5 countries in Europe already implemented this policy and America and Japan are considering it.
5. Students are suffering from debts. It is one of the serious social problems nowadays. It causes a lot of bad things.

I want to say 3 words about this.

First economy,  workers with college degrees work more productively than others without college degrees. Educated workers are able to more efficiently carry out tasks. And economically successful countries have higher educated workers than developing countries. Countries with a greater portion of their population attending colleges see faster economic growth than countries with less-educated workers. Educations is a kind of training. As we all know well trained people make good things. We are having economic depression now and education is the key for it.

Second human right, education is one of the human rights. Economic power cannot influence human right. No matter how much money we have, we can get high level education. A nation can do it for its citizens.

Third solidarity, we are in a community, a nation. some of the high school graduates cannot go to college because of money. They have passion, potential and talent. We should give them chances to think about their dreams or what they want to study. It will change our country and the world. It will make more positive effects than negative.

In the future we can see better country. All the beneficial policies had oppositions but ultimately it is found out that those are right. We can just a little bit more amount of tax. If we can change our country and give our kids better world, are you going to refuse it because of just 4% of tax raise?

So, who will pay for it? we will pay tax for it. After the students graduate, they will pay back to us. We will be old someday, who will pay tax for us? they will pay for us.
Do you think we will waste money? why do you pay tax for the other things that you even don't know what those are. Do you think it is unfair? then why do you pay tax for the elderly now. the elderly are important but youngsters' dreams are more important.

Gender discussion questions !!

A) If I have children, will I treat my sons differently from my daughters?

If I have children, I would treat my sons and daughters differently. First of all when I have my own family I want to have only one daughter. However I am not going to be able to control this of course. I want to treat a girl more carefully because she is weaker than a son physically and it is more likely to put her in some dangerous situations. For example, playing alone in the play ground of traveling abroad alone, to those kinds of things I want to oppose. I would hate my daughters to be in danger. However if I have a boy, I would give him freedom. As my parents have done to me, I will make him stand on his own feet. That is how I live and good for me. Through this way I got my independence and confidence so I got to love my life. I will treat a daughter based on this as well but as I said, I think I would be more careful of the dangers. Maybe because I love her.

B) If I had the option of choosing my gender next time, which would I choose? why?

If I could be reborn and choose my gender, I would choose male. Most importantly I am satisfied with my life now and I think societies nowadays are better for men. Plus it is safer for men than women. The gender rate of criminals contains more male than female and the number of crime against women are increasing. I really like to do something alone such as living alone, traveling alone and eating alone. However for women those things are not safe. Even they cannot go out at midnight. Lastly, if I were a woman, I would be tired everyday. Women spend time and money on their appearance for themselves or others. I do not really care about my clothes. Living like woman would make me tired.

Stress discussion question. How do you usually cope with stress?

How I usually cope with stress

People are stressed out for one reason or another in a modern society. I sometimes get stressed as well and I have some ways to release my stress. Let me tell you those.
First, I usually cope with stress by sleeping. Stress makes me tired and leads me to sleep. After a good sleep I forget what makes me stressed and feel refreshed. However this way has a negative effect. The thing which gives me the most stress in my life is a test. I get stressed when I prepare for tests. I have to study right before tests but as I mentioned, stress makes me tired. Therefore I cannot cram for tests and study during the exam weeks. That is why I study as much as I can before the weeks.
Second, I usually go and drink coke when I feel tired or stressed and just sit in a fast food restaurant and think about things.
That really works and I recommend it. I am not sure but I believe that sugar lowers our stress level. Plus, sitting alone and thinking things makes me calm.
These are how I shake off my stress.

How does stress affect you emotionally?
When I am stressed, I become too sensitive. I am sensitive even when I am not stressed. I do not want others to talk to me when I am stressed and I do not want to hear anything from them.  I want to be alone. So, do not talk to me when I am stressed out. Just leave me alone. Do not even say “are you okay” I might say back “don’t care about me”. I do not easily get stressed. Do not worry.

About my recording.

First of all, I found that I didn't stand still while speaking.
It causes listeners inconvenience so I thought I have to correct it.
Second, when I started I didn’t know how to start. I could have said “Hi, I am going to tell you how I have changed for the last 5 years.”
Third, I said the same things over again. It didn’t sound good. I was thinking what to say while saying the same things. I had better say “well… you know,, um…” .
Forth, handling my eyes and hands.
I didn’t look at the camera. Next time, I will look at the camera and say.
I will not rub my hands next time.

Specifically I want to improve my speaking behavior. I didn't look confident and calm in the recording. I will try to improve myself. !!!

Which Language to Learn? What the Experts Say

Which Language to Learn? What the Experts Say: Which language to learn? A good question to ask: English, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic? Discover the pros and cons of each one.

Since we are working to be an English interpreter or translater, this article would be interesting for us.

And I think you had better learn one more language other than English. So, it is helpful when you choose your third language to learn. For your information, I have been learning Japanese but it is not powerful in the world according to this article.

Plue, in my opinion, learning Russian would be a good choice. I have some Russian friends, and some from Central Asia. They speak Russian but They don't speak English. I can read Russian alphabet. it's different from Englsih. English is the lingua franca but in fact people who speak Russian, they do not want to study English. I have talked to one of my friend who does not speak English but Russian. She said she does not like America that is why she does not try to learn their language. We all know Russsia and the U.S. are rivals in the world and those two are the most powerful countries.

So, there are many people who speak English but Russian and vice versa. After I finish school work and get a job, I am going to learn Russian. Now I have to be focused on English because I need at least one thing for my meal ticket.

Which language would you like to learn ?
